Do you want your child/student taught by a woman or man?
A great tutor will be sensitive to a child’s needs and abilities. Different children have different learning styles so having a female or male teacher might depend on the student. Whether you want your child taught by a woman or man, at Shia Quran Academy you can find both qualify female and male tutors. Our teachers offer the classes of reading and reciting with tajweed which has been standardize as the tradition of Muhammad himself.
What level do you need?
You may need a tutor for reading, reciting with tajweed, or just one of the two. Some online tutors offer both options, while others only do one. Ask around and see what people say they find most helpful. For example, if you’re struggling to learn the language, it might be best to start with someone who specializes in teaching the basics. Or if you want to take part in a high-level discussion about complex verses and how they apply to everyday life situations, you’ll want someone who knows how to engage students on that level too.
What about class timings?
We offer the classes during weekends and on weekdays. You can choose your timings to suit your schedule. All our teachers are well qualify, train and experience in teaching a student from the scratch to do Tajweed with them. The students may face any problem while reading or reciting Quranic verses like masnoon ayah or some difficult word. We teach the students until they become successful in that matter with ease and confidence.
In order to sign up, you just need to go through a simple form which asks you about your religion, level of learning and age group etc., then fill up their detail form which is important for any online tutoring academy.
How will this affect my religion?
Learning to read and recite the Qur’an in Arabic is not only a religious obligation, but also brings numerous benefits. Learning how to read and recite Qur’an is more than just memorizing it. It can improve your faith, deepen your understanding of Islam, provide you with patience, clarity of thought and increase your understanding of Allah’s Words. Most importantly, it provides access to blessings in this life and the hereafter – whether we are able to read it or not. What that means is that someone who cannot read it or afford an online tutor will still be bless because they can learn how to recite without having the knowledge or skills necessary to actually be able to understand what they are reading.
What other things could I do to assist my children/students?
Some of the other classes our teachers offer are:
1. The Explanation of Surah Al-Zalzalah with its various subjects and narrations. 2. Reading/Reciting with Tajweed and vowel marks (i’rab). 3. Understanding the grammar and meaning of Quranic verses. 4. Memory enhancement by using imagery, visualization, counting to ten in Arabic, reciting poetry etc.
What is a female Islamic teacher called?
A female Islamic teacher is call an Ustādhah. (It can also be spelled Ostaahdah). She is qualify, train and experience to teach both genders because as Muhammad (S) said, A male Muslim must not teach a female Muslim unless there is no other option. In our experience, the best tutors are ones who read/recite with Tajweed (some teachers will have more than one level of Tajweed from beginner to advance). Our teachers offer the classes of reading/reciting with Tajweed.
